Hello everybody! Here is my old single player map pack for Opposing Force. This mappack is more of the demo to my unfinished full-scale modification. I am not going to continue the development of this modification, that is why I have decided to release the map pack: at least some old gamers will be able to make just one more trip back to old good Black Mesa. I hope you will enjoy it!
It was somewhat enjoyable but suffered from unfair difficulty, unrewarding amounts of items (i.e. fight a bunch of black ops for 1 measly health charger), and pointless moments like Barney vs a random shock trooper. I guess for an unfinished mod it's decent, and OP4 fanatics like myself will likely find something enjoyable here.
Very good, though it's not big, but it's not easy too, so playing it on hard will take enough of your time. Mapping is top notch and maps looks very close to original Opposing Force. Maybe little flaw is that you all the way alone, there are no friends to help you, only monsters and black ops.
Another short but sweet one from NoSick, this guy has a knack for level design. Its of a storage area (with some water processing for short time) and he somehow makes it feel new and interesting, even after so many mods for HL we've seen in the past. The difficulty is slightly above par and we get a variety of enemies. The only criticism would be the lack of weapons and rather short length, & no attempt at storyline. If you love to have a quick game when you got some time to kill this would be one of the ones to try out.
