As 2011 comes to a close, I'm going to put a little something in here just for the sake of not leaving people in the dark.
SL hit a few speedbumps the past month or so, Many key team members had various things come up in Real life that caused us to lose time, and "Shooter Season 2011" along with other big name releases didnt help either.
Anyway here is what is new, And what's next-BMR-600 IFV modeled and textured, nearly completed- CIS Infantry skin models are finished- Various CIS headgear items
- Lists for CEC vehicles and CIS Infantry weapons/vehicles finalized
And this is what's next
- Ariete Medium MBT for the CEC
- Body armor and variants for CIS troops, as well as a few touches to headgear
- Texturing and Scripting for the Leopard 2A5, 2A6 and Challenger 2
- First steps of implimenting the VAWM System "Vehicular Armor, Weaponry and Mobility", which is basically a table that determines the attributes of every vehicle. We will begin to impliment the system on the Current vehicles Starting with the Challenger 2 and Ariete, since they are at the top of their respective weight Classes
- After what is mentioned above, the bulk of the modelling will be going into map props for some time. including buildings, flora, stationary vehicles , flora and more.
- After which, I will be moving on to mapping while Solistx will likley be going back to CIS Infantry gear or CEC Vehicles.
The first wave of maps is planned to include locations in and/or around
- Krakow, Poland
- Warsaw, Poland
- Lviv, Ukraine
- Berlin, Germany
- London, UK
When we plan maps we arent just picking random cities on a globe, each map planned already has schematics drawn out or planned out, as well as the overall theme. For example the Lviv map is actually heavily influenced by the E40 International highway that goes near that area. Some maps are Urban combat, others are rural, some are in areas that are primarily forests, fields, hills, etc.

Can't wait for the Berlin map! It'll be like a Cold War without the Americans and Canadians
upon first release we will probably have 9-10 maps, plus 2-3 more map packs in the european theatre.
There will also be map packs in the American and East Asian theatres.
Just to clarify, these arent like DLC map packs, they're completley free obviously. Think of them like patches. I've just been laying plans for the first set, Havent actually started because We dont have props ready, and Im needed for scripting stuff right now anyway
Also, I didnt know until after posting the update. I was told that the Challenger 2, and Leopard 2 are both modelled, and just need to be textured and scripted. The Leopard 2A5 and 2A6 Will likley be comparable to the Panzer IV G and H in MOWAS
Actually more compariable to a Tiger, while the challenger is more compariable to a King Tiger
Meant that in the sense of how they differ from one another, 6 will have slightly more armor and more firepower than 2A5.

Ariete? Yay, cool.
yes a few months ago I gave a few suggestions to fill in some gaps, many of the Medium weight MBTs sprouted from this. Stuff like the Ariete, Leopard 1, AMX30B2. etc came up. I think all we had originally was a PT-91 and possibly a Challenger 1, but I think it was just the PT.
