I have changed many (80%) landscape taxture with high definition texture to 2048x2048px resolution but I stayed faithful the original not to spoil the design.
The next version (v1.0) will have superceded all textures and I'll add the 1024x1024px resolution.
File formats are identical to the originals and I used the alpha channel, so there are no bugs to crash game.
This is my first MOD so i hope you like it.

I have improved the most texture then the package is large again. Sorry 
the call missing only 5 textures: rocks. Unfortunately, the rock textures are very difficult environments to do so it will take some time. 

improvements: 

- improved snow textures (no repetitions textures) 
- added the volcanic textures (tell me what you think, for me are fine as well) 
- improved Beach textures
- improved reach textures
- improved tundra textures
- improved rock textures
- improved leaves textures
- improved normal map (tell me what you think)
- ADD 1024x1024px RESOLUTION
- IMPROVED ALFA CHANNEL

IMPORTANT 
THE BLOCKS OF THE GAME MAY BE CAUSED BY ALPHA TEXTURE CHENNEL. I'VE CLEANED THEM ALL AND OR UPLOADED FILES ... IF YOU WANT, DOWNLOAD THEM AGAIN AND I RECOMMEND LET ME KNOW IF THE GAME STILL CRASHES (SEND ME A MESSAGE TO THE FORUM OR COMMENT ... I Will Read THEM ALL). THANK YOU

Install:

1.) Extract.
2.) Put the folder "textures" into your steam\steamapps\common\skyrim\data folder.
3.) Play & enjoy.

Uninstall:

1.) go in "landscape" folder "skyrim/data/textures/landscape" 
2.) remove all files in the folder (remove only *.dds files not any folders)

IMPORTANT

Anybody using this pack or any other pack witch adds high resolution textures should first download and install this mod:

4GB Skyrim (http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=1013)

Skyrim has issues if you increase the textures sizes beyond the default and starts to have stability issues like crashing and purple textures. This mod should solve your problems.
