ScrN Brutal KF Bundle is a compilation of the best community-made mods for Killing Floor 1. It is not a simple collection, like all mods just put together without making any sense. No! All mods were merged together, optimized and, most important, balanced to work with each other to fit perfectly in the core game and provide solid gameplay experience. This is not a total conversion: it sticks to roots of the original game. It is just enhanced to the max, to bring variety in the gameplay and raise the challenge bar.



Features

  • 15 game modes
  • 11 perks
  • 100 weapons (10 weapons per perk in average)
  • 86 kinds of zeds (56, if not counting event zeds)

And the best past: all that works well together and is more-or-less balanced and challenging! There are no stupidly overpowered weapons. There are no totally useless guns. Of course, there are T1 guns for early waves and T3 for later. And there are personal preferences - some people may like particular gun but others don't. Every perk and every weapon has it own niche, own use-case.


Perks

  1. Field Medic. Beside Medic SMGs, Medic has Medic Grenade Launchers (shoot healing grenades) in his inventory and special Medic Pistol, which uses primary fire and ammo for both healing and killing.
  2. Support Specialist. Now he really does as his title says: supports the team. He can help on dealing with every zed, from Crawler to Fleshpound, but against any single zed Support is not as effective as dedicated that-kind-of-zed killers.
  3. Sharpshooter. Has no "auto-bow" and "body-shooting musket". Even M99 is more-or-less balanced. He still is the best for dealing with medium-to-big zeds at long and moderate distance. But in difference with vanilla game he must hit the head to be effective or he'll get punished badly.
  4. Commando. Has Tactical Reload for most of the guns, which allows to reload faster, when there is a bullet in the chamber. The best trash cleaner, if you can hit the hit... at least sometimes.
  5. Berserker. Not as OP as in vanilla, but still can kite, if you have skills. In addition, now Berserker can be used as team member while camping (no doorzerking!). Reworked Chainsaw that does good amount of damage (and stuns Scrakes) but consumes fuel.
  6. Firebug. Reworked burning mechanics. Completely redesigned HuskGun with Napalm Thrower for secondary fire. Charges faster, but you if you want to deal with SC/FP, then have to hit the head. Balanced Flare Revolvers.
  7. Demolitions. L.A.W. made much useful. M4-203 is not a #### anymore. Has RPG-7, which, as in KF2, has very limited amount of ammo, but at least is capable of killing HoE Husks and Bloats. And you don't have to wait for Zed Time to kill something :)
  8. Gunslinger. Specializes on using both single and dual pistols. In T3 arsenal Gunslinger has dualies with attached laser sights (for precision) and ".500 Elephant Pistol" (for beating the #### out of medium zeds). Has combos for dealing with Scrakes.
  9. Combat Medic. Damage bonus with medic guns, fast attacks with light melee weapons, full movement speed in Zed Time and more.
  10. Heavy Machine Gunner. Has such weapons as PKM, M249, Miniguns and other machine guns. First, I though this perk was lame. But when I saw KF2 Demo... Yes, HMG doesn't need to aim to the head, but at least he needs to aim...
  11. Horzine Technician. Specializes on zapping and freezing zeds. Frozen may be shattered. Siren's Scream shatters frozen zeds, turning them into deadly ice shards.



Zeds

  • Standard zeds.
  • Event zeds (all event zeds and stock zeds can be used in the same game).
  • Grittier zeds.
  • More Scrakes and Fleshpounds challenge. Scrakes start spawning from wave 4/10, Fleashpounds - 6/10. And there are more of them during later waves.
  • Cryo Siren. Her screams shatters frozen zeds, turning them into deadly ice shards. Scream canceling exploit and pull effect bug fixed.
  • Tesla Husk.
  • Ghost.
  • Female Fleshpound and Female Fleshpound MKII.
  • Brute SE (ScrN Edition).
  • Shiver SE (ScrN Edition).
  • Jason SE (ScrN Edition).
  • DooM3 monsters.

Hi there, great mod, but I have a question and I hope someone would be able to answer. I'm trying to play this mod with Bots mutator, however since sandbox option is disabled only one round plays after clicking on Listen option.

Additionally, if I try starting the game from Sandbox menu with i.e. long game selected, the game starts fine, but it does not include new ZEDs nor additional perks. UI is changed and it does say that SCRN is running, new guns are there, though no new ZEDs or Perks.

P.s. Perks level up works just like in vanilla, thus apparently no actual change to them is visible.

Is there a way to play with bots via Sandbox with added perks, ZEDs and etc.?

You need to redownload the same packages: ScrN Brutal KF Bundle, part 1 and 2. Those are updated to version 3 now.

i need help i cant start the mod once i enter a map it crash pls hep i cant play this mod

Create a listen a server instead of solo mode. If you will listen a server for 1 player, then it will be the same as solo but without crashes
