Tip: For supurior looking Models, first make a High-Poly Model, then a LIght Map and Texture for it, and then move it to a Low-Poly Model. Why use High-Poly Models? For better looks. Why use Low-Poly Models? Those are the only models that Source supports. This is a Low Poly Model that we are all looking at.

If you want more detail into it, you should really consider pushing in more polygons. They´re so much cheaper than textures.
