Would it not make more sense for mettenheim to have this. After all metallurgy is a huge part in making good muskets and mettenheim is supposed to be the best at this.

Also does this really mesh well with the rest of pendor? Muskets made armor pointless, and the rest of pendor is filled with heavy armor.

I guess you could say that gunpowder don't have the same qualities as real gunpowder, meaning it don't wreck heavy armor and is not more effective than a crossbow. <shrugs>

Personally i never saw the need to replace the crossbows of barclay. Bow's imo didn't fit at all. And now guns. Someone really want barclay to be different..

Personally even in mods where guns are avalible I'll take the Crossbow over the guns, they take soooo much time to reload that you can fire 5 crossbow bolts in the time it takes to reload a gun and do more damage too, heck even bows are better

Description

The Dukes of Barclay have sent expeditionary forces to Pendor. The Barclay Janissaries are equipped with advanced mechanical equipment that their country has now begun mass producing for warfare. While more mounted and elegant designs are seen in core regiments in Barclay, these formidable weapons have the punch of a crossbow, the ammunition of a quiver and the flare to brandish.

The Mettenheimers forced the industrial might of Barclay to create efficient ways to fight their volcanic-smithed steel plated armored infantry. While the production of such weaponry is hidden under lock and key to only few, the designs are said to have made their way to Pendor, but alas, that is only rumors...
