Prospector is AMAZING, its a rougelike and if you can deal with its graphics (Which are much better than most rougelikes anyway) its worth a try especialy since its free and takes like 30 secs to download.
You play as a captian of a space ship and can pretty much do whatever you want... Be a pirate and battle battle after bloody battle for your riches or make you fortune nicking alien planets resources and abducting unsuspecting creatures for 'Biodata' or just be a peacefull trader.. I've done all of those and i'm still not tired of it!
