A Rise of the Reds addon, Hanpatch expands the vanilla experience with stat changes, new units, new mechanics and bug fixes, with as few alterations as possible to the original gameplay.
Introduced after the Global War on Terror, the Hopper light tank was conceived as a fire support, reconnaissance and internal security vehicle for the Chinese Red Guard, as well as China's newly acquired allies and client states throughout Asia. During the scramble for Africa in the late 2030s, numerous Chinese-aligned states there such as Nigeria, Egypt, Sudan and Ethiopia, also purchased large quantities of Hoppers, placing it among the top 5 most produced tanks in history. According to a popular legend on the Chinese internet, the Hopper's design is so simple that even civilian car factories could produce it at a moment's notice with no need for re-tooling.
In the early 2040s, a new variant of the Hopper rolled off the factory lines and, unlike the base model, entered service in the People's Liberation Army which had requested a lightweight, smallarms-protected anti-tank weapons carrier. This new version of the Hopper replaced the enclosed tank turret and its signature 75mm low pressure gun with a simple mount for the HJ-12 anti-tank missile, along with increased internal storage space for more missiles. During combat operations against GLA and Russian forces in Africa, it proved so effective that full-scale introduction of the vehicle for light infantry and reconnaissance formations was approved.
This would be fine if it didnt replace the much better normal Hopper. The normal isnt completely incompetent against infantry, this is. Please,release an addon on GenLauncher so I can use normal hopper with the rest of Hanpatch, if it's not too much of an issue! Sorry if i sound annoyed i just got blindsided by seeing no normal Hopper in the game, with it my favorite unit in all of ROTR.
