Bolero is our haven at sea. She's our floating fortress among the ice, and I will see her interests defended.

I think the previous face map looks better, also liked the addition of the lambda on her face.
New facial structure and hair looks great!

Thanks! Modelling the hair had been eluding me for some time, but I seem to have cracked it. I need to do a little work on the lips, maybe draw from the original texture a little more to give them some more depth.

As for the lambda paint, I really like the idea, but as she's aligned with the resistance that is managed by Bolero, it's not particularly associated with the lambda toting resistance featured in Half-Life 2. I'm strongly leaning towards the idea that there are factions, much like how'd you get in modern resistances; different groups have differing priorities.

I'll mess around with having the face paint return.

Description

I've been spending a long time recently improving the character model for Kathryn; aiming to give her a more distinct look. Some of the changes include completely remodeled hair and a tweaked facial structure.

The hair geometry still needs further tweaking as it clips into her face in some places, and there is a little work to be done on the texture map as well as implementation of proper specular and normal mapping.

Overall I'm very happy with the results and think it's a strong improvement over the previous version. She looks great in-game.

Hopefully I'll get some full body shots out in the next few days once I'm happy with the materials.
