Return of Shadow Mirkwood Preview
Some screenshots and information on the Mirkwood faction.
Mirkwood
It is a faction centred around infantry and ranged units.
Unlike Lorien Mirkwood has cavalry and basic infantry units and unlike Rivendell they lack a heavy cavalry and ranged cavalry they are somewhat a middle ground between Lorien and Rivendell.
Heroes
Mirkwood has some familiar faces in Thranduil and Legolas, Thranduil is a melee hero dual wielding swords with great finesse.
Legolas of course uses his long bow to take out enemies from a great distance.
He gains 2 new abilities Range Master which boosts range and damage of nearby Archers and Longshot which is a ranged attack that has no maximum attack range meaning it can hit any enemy you can see no matter how far away.
Some new heroes fill out the hero list.
Aegalen is a captain of Mirkwood a capable spear wielding hero.
Penlod is an early game melee hero wielding dual daggers.
Galadhroth is a spearmen hero with good anti cavalry options.
Cuthalion is a ranged hero.
Tauriel also makes an appearance via the spell book using a combination of ranged and melee attacks.
good stuff. well done everyone.In addition, how about some inspiration for Mirkwood heavy infantry from hobbit: battle of the 5 army for their visuals and looks? Also can I mention something(just an opinion), I hope u don't mind. Legolas shooting a hit without limited range isn't too powerful? I means I suggest if u r gonna add this, maybe u could put a long cool down for it, otherwise some factions or allies in vs matches would send a gollum or planetier somewhere and make him spam the ability! Can Thranduil mount up on his ram too? ^^ It would be epic, don't u think? if u somehow like my ideas, pls do tell 'cause I have hundreds more to mention. but it's already too much to read. Sorry....I wish u fun and luck.
