In this SP mission you will fight as a soldier in the Wehrmacht.
Its been a long and tedious struggle to the gates of Stalingrad many of your comrades have fallen but you still live to fight another day.
Your mission is simple repel the enemy attacks on Red Square and advance through one of the few open routes to the enemy docks being used to reinforce the Soviet positions within the city. You are well equipped and reinforced so the German high command expects an easy victory in taking the square but will it be enough to crush an enemy so desperate to protect its motherland?
Cod2 uses in my opinion one of the best game engines and rock solid game mechanics and performance compared to WAW,its also alot faster to create levels as you don't need to clutter them as much like CoD4 or WAW.
Im aiming for the mission to be open and not too linear in parts so the player can explore the landscape and find details such as letters, information and other goodies scattered around the map.

The German invasion of Britain in 1940. My storyline.
Im thinking the date to be pushed to mid 1943 based shortly after 'Red Square Massacre' .The Germans have secured Stalingrad and have formed a solid defensive line just past Moscow as planned,now the time is ripe to strike Britain. After the failure of the Battle of Britain years earlier the Luftwaffe have reformed and have taken control of the skies at last. Now after months of planning the German army have finally organized into a force capable of an amphibious landing of Britain. But the Germans have only a short period to attack as the US navy steams on its way to aid the English.
Map type: Medium/Large,Small Skirmishes,Mixed ai
Player is a German soldier again.
Player starts on the beach,dodging pillbox bullets (D-Day reference)
Player re-unites with comrades as sea-wall. (D-Day reference)
Player fights his way into town and disables pillboxes and other anti-invasion weapons.
Player fights his way through buildings to a castle residing on a hill overlooking the town providing artillery co-ordinates for the British.
Player secures areas around the town. (All ideas subject to change)

I guess my expectations were just too high. It seemed very interesting, and at the beging it was. However it soon frustrated the hell out of me. On the easiest difficulty it took SIX HEADSHOTS with a scoped mosin nagant to kill ONE RUSSIAN. Then... AMERICANS??? WHY??
