Due to the scene is cut from the actual game, let me tell you what happened in these 3 images.
Cole and Skylar met and become friends since the N.O.T (Novas of the Tactics,a fictional international competition which comitted to find the best military commanders all over the world in young generations),they're in a same team and won the competition.However in the following final competition,Cole is failed to defeat Skylar and got the second place.When it's time to leave,Cole gave his badge to Skylar as a goodbye gift.
That's what happened in those images.They're cut,but will come back if possible,as DLCs or something else. :3
