The Soviets had initially pulled forth potential designs for various APCs. Among them was the Half-Track and the Bullfrog. While the Half Track was faster it came at the price of thinner armor and much of its armaments occupied what little space is left unused for troop transportation. The Bullfrog however came with a thicker armor and a larger profile making it immune to certain Super Tanks as they became known in the battlefields from crushing the Bullfrog.Exchanging the heavier set of weapons of 2 12.7mm Dshk Machine Gun and Flak Cannon for a single 12.7mm Dshk Machine Gun grants the Bullfrog with this more room to not only let it transport not only just infantry but also up to medium-sized vehicles.
