A ballistic realism mod for Napoleon: Total War. What's new:

-All the velocities for game's projectiles changed to real life-values; relative to type of weapon, caliber of projectile, and charge. Real-life period projectiles travel at approximately 450 meters per second - nearly 5 times faster than the ones in the vanilla game and Darthmod.

- Collision radii, the actual width of the projectile, is changed from a generic value given to all projectiles and now renders the actual size of the projectile based on caliber and shot type.

- Range increased on artillery to maximum effective range. Historically, artillery of the period could shoot out to 1-1.4 kilometers with only a 5-degree elevation adjustment.

-Increased dispersion area on rockets.

-Increased number of shot in grapeshot and canister shot based on bore size.

-Added a small 'spread' value to smoothbore shot to simulate the effect of 'windage' - the small space where the projectile is smaller in diameter than the gun's bore itself, causing the ball to bounce down the barrel and take a deviant path.

Two versions of this mod are available, one for vanilla and the other for the excellent Darthmod.

Nice idea however have you managed to test this on howitzers? The Russian unicorn's accuracy is unbelievably good and can hit anything pretty much without a missed round - even light cavalry charging it. Can you double check the unit_stats?

If it didn't work, you most likely didn't do it right.

This earns a place in my mods folder. Did you use packfilemanager to mnake this improvements, and if so, which section and what did you change?

I did, and it only uses the projectiles file. The Darthmod compatibility file is simply Darth's .pack file with my projectile file, and if you download my vanilla version you get the file by itself.
Changes are pretty much what I listed, collision radii, projectile speed, spread, shot number, and range.
