  • Stopped pick-up items flashing
  • Increased load out possibilities
  • Enemy weapon pick ups are now 'special' slot
  • Some weapons now in different slots (refer to changes list in downloads section)
  • More realistic damage levels (also bullets hurt you and the AI the same now)
  • AI fight themselves at times
  • Many weapon tweaks/fixes (Ammo types and amounts, ranges, accuracies and damages)
  • No auto reload
  • AI use all weapons in the game
  • Crossbow bolt affected by gravity
  • New 'non-explosive' crossbow
  • Rockets are faster
  • Increased sprint endurance
  • AI talk more
  • AI are supposed to fight harder
  • Shotgun ranges increased

Its dog-eat-dog out there.

Fixed for Steam - Hopefully!

News

I have replaced the original v1.2 file with v1.21b. This includes a steam version of the mod.

Unfortunately I have not been able to test this mod on the steam version, as I don't have it, or know anyone that does. If someone could confirm it now works, that would be fantastic.

In further tweaks, the latest version (v1.21) now has slightly more chatty AI, slightly increased pistol damage and the sawn off shotgun now actually uses shotgun shells.

Have you done anything to increase the distance at which the player can be heard shooting or the bringing in of reinforcements? I was trying a mod, not sure if it was this one, that brought in reinforcements for the AI, which increased the desire to remain stealthy.

Hi, first of all, i'm a big fan of your mod, almost feels like a new FC to me with this mod, but unfortunately, there's a bug i just noticed recently, which is that the silenced shotgun is actually bugged, when you change your weapon from shotgun to other weapons, the silenced shotgun won't actually dropped, it just disappeared, vanished, and it's pretty mind boggling as my stealth play style get somewhat frustrated just because of this.

Second, i still haven't saw a enemy driving Unimog(and i'm really looking forward to this) , am i doing something wrong? And how do you manage to make the enemy do this? Will you kindly show me how you achieve this? Big thanks to you.

Mod is great playing it non-stop, I'd love it if you could make the map show the information it dose now but NOT where the player is (even the little green dot is to much), and have the GPS show where you are but non of the other stuff, I think that would be a sweet combo.
btw am I the only one who gets to a T junction and pulls out his map just to realise the darn sign is red/blue/yellow which just wrecks the immersion?

Is there a plan to make anything similar for far cry 2?
Some of the features in this one were quite useful.

I dont have any plans at the moment, life happened and what little free time i had got eaten up by a myriad of other things. Always looking for ways to get more time, so never say never.

Aww shucks. Your mod was almost perfect. Only flaws - people talked TOO much lol, it crazy how much they talked, sniper killed enemy one shot no matter where you hit them, and no sign of any inter fighting between groups on NPCs, never saw that happen in my last playthru, although I didn't progress very far. Also, SOMETIMES, the enemy would be shooting at me but he's looking in a different direction, and yet his bullets still hit me. That might be because my computer is not one hundred percent a gaming PC, and I think this is an engine bug.

"...no sign of any inter fighting between groups on NPCs, never saw that happen in my last playthru"

That only happens at a few specific checkpoints on each map.

"Also, SOMETIMES, the enemy would be shooting at me but he's looking in a different direction, and yet his bullets still hit me."

Yes this is a bug in the un-modded game, not RealMode

So when/where in the game (aside from the tutorial) do the enemies fight each other? Also, any way to tweak the sniper rifle so that shooting enemies in the leg/arm cripples them instead of kills them? Currently the sniper rifle kills the enemy in one shot anywhere you shoot at them.
