Republic Assault is a full scale conversion mod for the Petroglyphy game Star Wars Forces of Corruption. Using elements from both the current canon, and existing EU to create the best possible game experience.
What is this, the fourth iteration of the ISD? I think it's same to say, this is the final version.
Anyways, I'm proud to present Elratie's magnificent ISD in FoC. Currently, the ISD is rigged with:

I also decided to try something else out. Normally, I use the DDS compression format DXT5. This will allow low size files, but it greatly reduces the quality of a texture. But this time, I decided to use 888 24 bit. The file becomes far larger, but for a few normal maps, and the quality boost it has, I decided it was worth it.

for the longer time I thought the magnificent stuff of Elratie will never see the light in games I play (FoC or Stellaris). I'm overjoyed to find them soon to be in FoC :D

You uhh, exported all those 4K maps in a compression that made them even larger? You know the game only has 2 gb of memory right? And even less texture memory because petro was stupid enough to make them seperate? Anyway, if you start getting random crashes sometime, now you know why.
Good to see someone test it though, how many can you get on the map before the game craps out?

well as far as i know they are in 2k and saved as 24 bit is 12 mb big, for 4k that would be 48 mb.
Then there is the LOD system, with that you could easily turn off entire mesh pieces and textures to save performance.
It's all 2k maps, I know when to limit things. It also doesn't really matter, it's going to have a stupid high pop cap. 20 probably, so at most, you'll have 2 with 10 population cap left to spare.
