[on indefinite hold]. Rando Doom was a randomizer mod for GZDoom. I made it after I wanted a randomizer that didn't add anything new and had 100% random actor spawns, I had however added some D64 things to this wad. I decided that 100% randomness was basically unplayable so the system works like: all monster can be replaced by any monster in Doom 2, all weapons can be replaced by any weapon in Doom 2, ect.

I tested this in GZDoom with compatibility mode set to Doom Strict so there might be some problems with playing this with GZDoom's default settings. Also you should disable autosaves, because if you save then die the dice aren't rolled again so you'll keep getting the same stuff.


I recommend setting fuzz effect to software so you get that vanilla Spectre effect on things that are rendered fuzzy such as the Nightmare Imps. However some may find the transparent sprites easier on the eyes.

*Add custom options menu to disable specific actors from spawning or to disable randomization of certain types of actors (I.E. demons or health pickups) for more customization and compatibility with other wads

*Add custom sprites for Nightmare Imps so they're more faithful to Doom 64, but fit with the Doom 2 sprites (I.E. transparent blue-purple colored Imps rather than just Imps with fuzzy effect)

This mod is Fricken Awesome... 9/10 my only issue with it is that items spawn waay too much, i love the idea of random monsters and random items spawns but not when every monsters just gives you every gun in the game. item drop rates should be nerfed. still im not complaining, im really having fun with your mod, thank you for making this... =D
