Raising the Bar is a mod based off of the idea of amalgamating the earliest concepts of Half-Life 2 into a coherent story. This mod is not a leak-fix, nor is it a concept art recreation gallery; it will be a full story with inspiration from the old material as well as our own ideas of how to make it all fit together.

Xen Light Remake.
Looks good, but shouldn't its base be separated from the stalk so that it could hide inside whenever you aproach it?
If you see the base you can see some plis, this is because it can hide inside, is an animation(i made this like a concept more "alien"), so when the player go to there, it can hide in anyways, don't worry about it, i think that this look of "alien" is more cool, or realistic.

The original model is really, really old, so even if it was supposed to look alien like this, it couldn't have without compromises. So Valve made the original model. We're simply re-envisioning it as an actual organism rather than an organic pot with a stick that comes out of it every now and then and lights up. :P

Yeah, but i don't think that XEN plants will evolve into... Weird-Looking Alien, after all, Xen is not so alien at all. Only low Gravitation and flying islands + some mountains and bug caves. Many creatures came from their own worlds and i think this one could do this too so yeah, you are kinda right. Still, i believe it's not that alien as people think, but that's my own opinion, sorry
