Raising the Bar is a mod based off of the idea of amalgamating the earliest concepts of Half-Life 2 into a coherent story. This mod is not a leak-fix, nor is it a concept art recreation gallery; it will be a full story with inspiration from the old material as well as our own ideas of how to make it all fit together.

As promised, here's ZitaX's complete concept for Gordon's new suit. It's based off of the old concept designed by Dhabih Eng, with our own ideas added into the mix.

Can't say much about the gas mask, but we do know that Gordon hates helmets; they give him a bad case of "helmet hair."
It would be nice if you guys made lambda logo bigger and those wire things smaller. other than that it looks really badass
Either Gordon has some war paint on his face or he was very close to getting headcrabbed. Either way I am kind of worried.
Or maybe he got shot in the head, but his invisible helmet kept him from being insta-killed.

Looking at this and knowing such info makes me laugh XD
Curious, now that we've got some info on the HEV suit from the uncorrected proof, any plans on taking that information into consideration? Personally, I liked the approach of having the suit be a little bit more run-down since the Black Mesa Incident.
By the time we get around to modeling and texturing it, we might implement a bit more weathering and such, but I think it would make the suit less appealing if the weathering went too far, so balancing it out will be important.
Of course, moderation is always key. Cheers for the response!
