Raising the Bar is a mod based off of the idea of amalgamating the earliest concepts of Half-Life 2 into a coherent story. This mod is not a leak-fix, nor is it a concept art recreation gallery; it will be a full story with inspiration from the old material as well as our own ideas of how to make it all fit together.

I wasn't very happy with my old AKM textures so I took it upon my self to re-do them. These are pretty early progress but it's progress none the less.
Looks like a finished thing already :D
Wooden parts look so realistic :0 nice work ;)
Would you guys plan on making it dirty and a little bit cracked?
Ofcourse, the Combine is using more of an Old World technology instead of implementing their own so the final version of AK will be dirty, Little rusty and scrached so it will look like more of a Worn off rifle that has been seeing alot of use over the years :)
You guys should make the metal on it gray and weathered, and the wood faded and old to really match the beta color scheme. That would look really sweet. The model alone looks bloody fantastic.
It's starting to look more like an AK-74. (No rhyme intended)
well the AKM was developed as the successor to the AK-47 and was developed around the 1960s right around the same time early developments were being made on the prototype AK-74 series.
So aside from the muzzle brake on both guns being different they are mechanically identical just in different calibers among other minor details
