The head is too low. It should be taller.
The head's fine proportion wise (with exception of the nib at the top). It's the bulky arms that's throwing everything off.

I'm going to fix some thing myself too. (i'm a lego geek, so I can do it, I guess...)
the arms look like they ar bout there bout to fall off
i think its good now
I think the first one is better, just the head must be cylindish like this one.
make the nib at the top of the head bigger. the arms are to far out and not shaped right. the foots of the legs shouldnt be that smooth, should be more blocky
