Quake 2 N64 -> PC (1st planet)
Full Version 3 commentsThe first planet of the Nintendo 64 version of Quake 2. (The first 4 maps)
All maps were built from scratch, using the N64 version as visual reference.
No new items and custom textures were added.
It was tested on the kmquake2 source port, but should work on any other Quake 2 engine.

Weapon and enemy reskins for the remaster with optional HUD
This is another hd graphical mod for Quake2, with advanced glsl render.
Return to Perdition will connect the storyline of Quake 2 with that of Quake.
An oldschool modpack for the Quake 2 Remaster! Restores and reverts what the remaster changed!
Great work, thanks!
This is a project that needed to happen. Thank you.
I had a lot of fun playing these. Hope you find it in you to build the rest of the levels. Great work!
could you port the n64 multiplayer maps in a future for pc? it will be really awesome
I have some questions about your mod:
Are you planning to make all the levels of the N64 port for your mod?
Are you planning to add all of the missing PC enemies that didn’t make it to the original N64 port to some of the levels of your mod?
Are you planning to add a few new levels that takes place after “Stage 19 - Command Core” where you go and hunt down the Makron?
Are you planning to add the N64 sky textures and lighting effects to your mod?
Are you planning to add the PSX exclusive “Arachnid” enemy and “Guardian” boss to your mod?
Will your mod feature the entire N64 soundtrack?
I'm not sure if I'll ever be able to recreate all of the maps.
I didn't include the original soundtrack because I was afraid of running into copyright troubles.
I have good news though, a guy called MaxED is currently developing a straight up full port of the N64 version to the PC, with original textures, sounds and all the other stuff. He currently has 3 maps completed.
You can find his work here: Github.com
I know this is old but if you need a soundtrack... I compose dark ambient horror soundscapes inspired by Aubrey Hodge's work on Doom and Quake. I would gladly donate any of my tracks to the developers. Here's a sample of my music: Youtu.be
Development on MaxED's port appears to have stalled. Besides, I personally prefer this mod as MaxED's project takes a few unnecessary liberties with the core gameplay, such as needlessly altering the enemies' behaviour. This is more in line with the PC version and sits well alongside the official mission packs. Please continue this mod as you've done a great job so far.
Yes! Do all levels!
Do it, just do it. Finally someone will make this real.
