One question are the cruisers used for bombing and other types of air support or are these units more like the APC's featured in the original game,

Neither. They're mainly there for cosmetic purposes. There are no flying APCs, but there are ground-based ones like in BZ1 and TRO. There are also aerial bombers, gunships and shuttles for air support. BTW, they're Assault Carriers - not Cruisers.

My mistake, but Nice to know that there are more ships used for air support.

Ok I'm pumped! Will can you pilot any of them and will the bombers just drop one giant nuke or will it be several more medium powered bombs?

Currently, bombers drop a barrage of missile-bombs.

Nice picture those cruisers look really cool and the sky detail is incredible. I also really like how you put the unit-selecting-menu on the side vs the front that is really cool overall NICE JOB!
