This is a mod based on my hometown "Røa" Oslo/Norway, it will feature realistic house placement and trees etc. from my hometown and it will contain realstic weapon use aswell. in this mod there is "Hovseter" Vs "Røa" Hovseter will be "insurgent"ish and Røa will be norwegian military like. the reason why we (the ==VV== clan and mod makers) is making this mod is because we wanted to see how it would be to see how a War in our territory will look like :) and this mod is in full "action" so this mod i not dead lol :P and aswell we need modders/mappers etc. so if you would like to join send me a PM.
As you can see (if your from røa) this is "Esso", our local oilstore. it has realistic placement ofcourse. more to come.
Currently done:
** ALOT of bug fixes
** Removes everything from the screen ammo, health, crosshair, minimap etc. to increase realism
** Added new screenshots
more to come.
Dead, and the remains of the mod were never uploaded.
wat is the link??
Hellow, to bad your project did go down, but don't give up. Merge to Project reality!! there they are making the norwegian force wich you fellows could be a part off. And if you have not heard of Project reality, well its a very populare mod. add me to xfire: pizzalur for more info
project is down because of lack of modders
seems awesome to me
røa isnt that big :P
So, the second idea will not be so difficilt.
Wait, according to wikipedia ( En.wikipedia.org ) roa is part of a city. I`ve search in google maps before, but i was thinking that norway was the country, oslo the state and roa the city, but he is just a part of vestre aker, so its more simple that i was thinking.
Good modding. Good luck.
How do you will handle this huge map, bf2 engine cant handle a entire city. What you will do?
1- Make maps for every important part of this city.
or
2- Get a map of Røa, put in a grid, with every square of the grid being of the maximun size of maps that bf2 engine can handle. And make a map for every square of this grid.
I would prefer the second choice, more difficult, but better.
yea, we use google earth but most of it we know ourself becouse we live there ;)
