New Mod

Happy to announce that I'm making a new modification. It's called "I Want Peace", it will have a custom soundtrack and... That's actually all I can say without spoiler anything.

I'm not sure when the mod will be finished, maybe at the end of this month, but that's not certain.

i don't want to be rude, but this mod is not good. Is not bad, is just regular.

the part with a million of headcrabs and the gonarch was impossible to go through , i dont know if i missed something or something else, i was on low HP was terrible.

i just had to use cheats.

i'll leave a short review:

*Story: Good

*Atmosphere: i like some parts of the maps

*Ambience: the sounds and the enviromental stuff was alright.

my final rating: 6

My goal was to make a mod that does not forgive mistakes. So, if you get stuck on some location, you will have to replay the previous part, or even replay the whole mod, but more carefully.

Finally got round to giving v1.1 a try, and although my thoughts on the level design remain (too many vents and narrow hallways, maze-like nature, puzzles being "find thing to climb on"), my experience this time was more positive.

I suspect that's partially down to me going in knowing what to expect and being prepared for it - use your crowbar on everything besides Alien Grunts - but also because there were far fewer instances of headcrabs being right behind doors or vent grates, so the combat feels much more fair now.

So while I still don't LOVE this, it's more enjoyable now, so... yeah. Good job with v1.1!

(The section in the vents with all the girders, specifically the part where you need to climb a bit of ladder to reach a girder to your left, can still go to hell though. 10 minutes of frustration right there.)

when i play your mod in hard mod.. *this is just my subsjective comment* in my view this is not really hardcore even leak of ammo case looks doesnt matter. because we have a Crowbar in the start level of map ! that reason.. even if you dont have a enought pistol & shotgun ammo can play with hard mod.

other case you did a lot of put puzzle system. puzzle system is good for make hard to find a way that really good idea !

The mapping leaves a lot to be desired, as even a claustrophobic design like in this one can be done very well if done right. However, I really enjoyed the gameplay, it's a breath of fresh air to REALLY make your shots count. It makes you think whether to really shoot an incoming enemy or if it's better off to beat it with a crowbar or just run past it. My personal gameplay style already involves ammo micromanagement, so something like this mod was exactly what I wanted. Hope I get to play more of your mods in the future.
