"No need for cussin'!" -Coach

It's ironic that coach is the most cussin'est of the four.

This mod is different from the other profanity filter mod. The other one just blanks the entire file that has the bad word. Mine creatively edits the sound file to remove the bad word, but leaves the rest of the audio untouched. Sometimes the transitions are smooth, sometimes there's a hiccup or notch between a transition, and sometimes the edit is very noticeable (sorry).

I think the other one is more extensive, whereas I've only edited the voices. I've spent over 3 weeks listening to over 9000 files in Media Player Classic and editing over 900 files in Audacity.

Q: How do I install it?
A: Get and install 7-zip. Then read the readme file found within the archive.

Q: Why did you do this?
A: I left high school a long time ago. I don't need to hear the bad language. Had I known the language was in here, I wouldn't have bought it. This is the next best thing. (Next project, Serious Sam BFE.)

Q: You missed some words, fix it!
A: I'd be glad to. Which file?

Q: It makes no sense that you would filter bad language in a game full of killing.
A: Mmmm, questions of morality in a game filled with bloodthirsty zombies that are trying to kill you. I don't mind defending myself to the point of terminal bodily harm of my opponent. That is, after all, what the 2nd Amendment of the US Constitution is all about (and, surprisingly, touched on in this game... listen to Ellis' and Rochelle's conversations.) However, hearing those bad words are painful to my ears.

Q: Your stoopid *&!@
A: Congradulashuns, U is good spellar and even gooder at the English language.

Does it also censor goddamnit? My mom gets ticked off when she hears that. The actual curse words don't bother her. I hate wearing headphones, so let me know. Thanks.

How about changing the bad words into censors? (beeping noises)
For some reason, i found those censors more humorous than actual swearing, which is odd, considering i use those words alot in my daily language. You won't notice it on the internet though.

I would like something opposite of this. More swearing, gore, blood and guts. Rather make that. And neonazi-zombies, tea-party zombies or just the whole right wingers of the world cause I would feel a whole lot better after a game.

So after coming across this "mod" and reading some of the comments here let me ask you one thing. Some people here are thankful because now "their daughter" or "their little brother" can play Left 4 Dead 2 since s/he won't hear "bad stuff". Tell me, how old are said relatives/friends? This game is rated M by ersb. As stated here: Esrb.org M is for "MATURE"
"Content is generally suitable for ages 17 and up. May contain intense violence, blood and gore, sexual content and/or strong language." So I wonder, if you are so concerned about swearing in L4D2 (detailed violence, blood, gore and other horrors aside now), why letting them play it in the first place? This obviously is not a game for them. That's why it's rated M, no? 17+ and all that jazz. I just love this tiny double standard here.

People sugar coat things unnecessarily and say certain words offend them, but not the sugar coated version of the same word despite the fact that they both mean the same thing. **** is "bad" word but poop is not bad word even though they are the same. It's one of the many stupid things that humans do that don't make any sense.

As a side note, the Germans find ways to uncensor their L4D2, and the Americans find ways to censor their L4D2. People just want the opposite of what they get.
