It's Christmas Eve and Dinky is pissed. After returning home from his last adventure, Dinky discovers that his family have (once again) been kidnapped by the forces of evil. A mysterious trail of toys, tinsel, and wrapping paper leads into the night. Enraged and with nothing to lose, Dinky heads out to save his family from a grizzly (yet seasonal) demise... Coming Christmas 2007!
After Polar Paradise got the green light from our lecturers, we managed to get some top masters student artists on board. Unfortunately, this early concept of Dinky's new-look was a bit too... 'Thundercats' for our liking -- much to the amusement of our lecturers and fellow classmates.
I still think it's awesome, but we decided to stick with Steve's original. Although Dinky is 'all business' there's a comic side to him, which this concept doesn't quite capture.
