2.2 is now a Bug Fix patch, our Orange Box conversion will take place in 2.3 Check inside for a few of the changes to expect!

Hey everyone!

We've got a little news today on the progress of our next patch.

First, I want to clear something up that has changed recently. In the past we had plans of making 2.2 the Orange Box Engine patch. However, we're currently in the process of working on 2.2 as a bug fix only patch with a few additions and changes. We were originally going to name it 2.1.1, but decided to go with 2.2 to avoid confusion. This is only a minor naming difference, hopefully everyone will understand. So now our original plans for the Orange Box engine and other features patch will be named 2.3.

As for the new 2.2 patch, things are going well. There have been many suggestions and other posts made in the forums and we've taken the time to read them all. 2.2 is well underway and we hope to get it out as soon as possible. As of this news post we're having a bit of minor trouble with our internal file hosting, though once this is cleared up we're going to keep on rolling through these fixes and tweaks!

A few of the things you can expect to see in 2.2 are:

-Grail is automatically transfered to the killer of the carrier if close enough.
-The player who kills the Grail carrier has health and armor restored instantly.
-Reduced movement speed and health boosts of the Grail carrier.
-Last Team Standing relies on mp_timelimit and mp_winlimit to avoid 5 minute map switches.
-Fixed pickup respawn issues on Deathmatch maps.
-Fixed a Blunderbus exploit.
-Reduced damage taken from perfect parry.
-Fixed bug with assisted suicides.
-Skirmisher, HK and Huscarl specials now break props so be careful around those explosive barrels!
-Much more!

This is just a small list of changes, there are a few surprises we are holding off for now! There have also been a few changes to some of the maps that will be worth checking out at release.

I would like to take this time to mention to the server owners out there an undocumented feature that was included in 2.1. There is a text document named adminlist.txt, which can be found in the pvkii\scripts folder. Using this document, you may add the steam IDs of your admins and they will have blue icons in-game just like the Red and Orange ones of the Dev team.

You may also notice a new donate tab on the front page of our site. We are now accepting donations to the mod for contests and other community related events. Any money donated will be used strictly towards prizes for future contests. If you are interested in donating, please include your steamID in the comment field so we may add your name to the Dev Contributors list, giving you a white icon on the in-game scoreboard! You will not see the icon right away in most servers until the patch after your donation, though we will do our best to update the list in the official servers as quickly as possible.

We hope everyone's enjoying 2.1 as much as we are! We've gotten a lot of feedback and suggestions that we're taking into consideration for the next few patches.

Nice, I'm happy to hear that the perfect parry will be more rewarding since it's fairly hard to accomplish in the heat of battle.
