Perfected Doom 3 was started as a simple tweak mod years ago. After realizing that I was still not happy with Doom 3 after making some alterations to weapons and enemy stats I continued to add more to the game. Now Perfected Doom 3 is more then just a tweak mod. It attempts to completely overhaul the entire game with new monsters, rebalanced weapons, rebalanced monster stats, better graphics, new gameplay features and much more. It has been met with great appreciation and acclaim by it's users. This mod will bring many improvements to standard Doom 3.

This patch was created to add new maps and gameplay features to Doom 3. It was also made to refine some previous mod features and bugs. You do not need any of the older patches for this patch to work. You only need the PD3 6.0.0 content in the mod folder. This patch does what version 6.1.0 and 6.1.5 did plus more. You must have your copy of Doom 3 patched to version 1.3.1.

This patch will add 3 new maps to the Doom 3 map roster that will prolong the Hell campaign ending it with a new boss battle. Several of the weapons will also gain iron sight features and some of the weapons have been given a few new enhancements. Much of the script for this mod has been tuned to perfection and the source code has been added to for more stability. Several of the particle effects have been reworked to fix several bugs and all in all the mod has been cleaned up. Enjoy.

Thanks for your work Sir, really been looking forward to the new hell maps. Honestly, I haven't played all that far into P-Doom yet, due to having no time. But just reading all the changes always makes my heart dance in joy, for I LOVE increased difficulty and the like.

What really catches my eyes is the "new boss battle" part. Is it like a boss we've seen already, changed around a bit? Or did you create something new altogether? Whatever it is, I am sure it will make the game more awesome. Again, thank you Sir, and merry christmas >)

Just an idea: you should add a feature to use nightvision rather than a strap-on shoulder flashlight. It's year 2145, I would kinda think flashlights don't exist anymore ya know? LoL

I didn't add nightvision because the player model doesn't wear a helmet in Doom 3. I know Sikkmod has a helmet feature but the player model during cinematics is still not wearing a helmet. So I didn't want him to have nightvision when he's not wearing a helmet all the time. It seems unrealistic if there were any kind of realism in Doom 3. Thank you for the comments aswell and I hope you continue to enjoy the mod. More updates on the way.

Ah yeah the helmet part is true. You wouldn't see a flashlight strapped on his shoulder either LoL Just yanking your chain. Is there a way I could reset the bullet spread back to normal? I'm personally not a fan of iron sighting on any games.

Change this to 0:

seta g_weaponAwareness "1"

in the autoexec file. That will keep your zoomed weapons from halfing their spread when using iron sights.

seta g_weaponProjectileOrigin from 0 to 1
so now everything feels exactly like normal with the addition of iron sight. This mod kicks *** now!

Then in that case it should have been the Final Boss. You fight and defeat the guardian to escape hell, then you have to face another boss, it feels out of place. You should at least make it optional with a separate download.

this mod isn't working for me, I initially just installed v. 1 doom 3 and then this mod and I got this error:

I then patched the actual doom game up to v. 1.3 and tried reinstalling the mod... still doesn't work. help?

I have gotten your 6.0 PDoom to run, though its difficult to play at times even at low setting plus a few console tweaks I've managed to learn. But I am receiving constant crashes with the 6.2 patch and cannot get it to run properly.

Keep in mind my macBook runs NVIDA Geforce 320m at 256 VRAM. Is anyone else getting this error? Perhaps my specs just aren't up to grade.. (I know I am due for an upgrade especially if I want to game at all haha but I'm ona budget haha)

The game code has been compiled for Windows only ( I guess ), so you can't run this mod on a Mac.
I think that the version 6.0 has the vanilla game code of the Sikkmod, so if you can play it on your Mac it means that Sikkpin compiled his game code for the Mac too.

I just installed my store-bought copy of Doom 3 after playing Rage and reading about this mod. Unfortunately, with the 1.3.1 patch and PD3 6.2.0, I receive the following error when trying to run it:

ERROR: file C:\Program Files (x86)\Doom 3\Perfected Doom 3\script\doom_main.script, line 60: file 'script/ai_monster_flying_painelemental.script'

Any ideas? Running Windows 7 64bit. Doom 3 runs fine, but not the mod.

Disable AI Catalyst if you have ATI graphics. That's my guess after seeing the ai_monster_flying_painelemental part of the error.
