Long ago, when the word 'Hiigara' rang only as a hollow dream, the kiith of Kharak never imagined they would walk the Path to Victory. But, when they reclaimed their Homeworld and proclaimed themselves 'Hiigaran', they believed they had reached their goal. How wrong they were. 150 years after Hiigaran landfall, conflict rages across the Galaxy... Path to Victory is a multiplayer and skirmish mod for Homeworld 2 that adds new units to both Vaygr and Hiigaran Races as well as enabling the Keepers, Raiders and Kadeshi as playable races.

Description

Developed by Kiith Manaan, Noise Shells are an advanced form of suppression munition used by Flak Frigates and Flak Platforms of the Migrant Fleet.

Unlike your common Flak warhead, Noise Shells release an incredibly powerful shockwave on detonation - in addition to your usual assortment of shrapnel. These shockwaves will crush strike craft armor and will often cause considerable damage to enemy electronics.

However what makes Noise Shells particularly unique is the radiation set free with every detonation.

While not exactly dangerous to ships with heavy shielding, these radiation bursts will often overload unshielded sensors and equipment of even the largest starships - leaving them temporatily blind and often unable to maneuver correctly.

There are a select few however who believe that the Noise Shells get their name for a quite other reason. It is said that fighter pilots who miraculously manage to survive against these Strike Craft killers are often left deafened permanantly by the violent concussive force which will apparently rattle the voidframe of flimsy fighters and even corvettes, often shaking them apart entirely.

That is of course only a rumor. No pilots are known to have survived flying through a Noise Shell barrage to date - according to the Imperial Archives. Many a boastful pirate would claim otherwise...
