Long ago, when the word 'Hiigara' rang only as a hollow dream, the kiith of Kharak never imagined they would walk the Path to Victory. But, when they reclaimed their Homeworld and proclaimed themselves 'Hiigaran', they believed they had reached their goal. How wrong they were. 150 years after Hiigaran landfall, conflict rages across the Galaxy... Path to Victory is a multiplayer and skirmish mod for Homeworld 2 that adds new units to both Vaygr and Hiigaran Races as well as enabling the Keepers, Raiders and Kadeshi as playable races.
Originally developed as a prototype, the famed disruptor frigate has been re-designed extensively by vaygr engineers. While its primary armament and internal systems remain mostly the same, the chassis has been extensively reworked.
Changes include basing the ship off a larger frigate hull, allowing more space for disruption systems and the ability to carry the typical vaygr missile launcher, common to all their frigates.
With the change to this new, streamlined, chassis the Disruptor's role has shifted from a support frigate to a ship-hunter which carries some of the most advanced weapons systems known to the Vaygr. However this power comes at a cost. Only very few of these ships can be fielded at one. In the field however, the power of their weapons and electronic jamming systems will make up for any numerical deficiency.
the invasion one is especially lethal.
I'm not sure its even in the Invasion fleet
Grantus - yeah it is. It has a weapons refit. :)
that is OP.
And looks crap...the projectile of the Vaygr BC's LaserPulseCannon...it looks more deadly than it actually is...
i like of the invasion disruptor frigate,it's bloody awesome and mortal, the only thing that looks crap is...nothing,every thing is well done and have an awesome design that i love.but this is my point of view...
I even had to tone down the invasion frigate ever so slightly. it's damage is seriously over 9000... four or them will shred a frigate formation in a matter of seconds if they're used right.
Well now she looks much better. Great redux.
Whats the control tower on the bottom side for? Great ship.
So the bridge crew can see what the **** they're shooting at xD
the top bridge is blocked by the weapons module...
In the age of computer assisted targeting and space warfare you'd think they'd have invested in weapons technology that didn't require the gunners to have a direct line of sight... just sayin'.
You'd also think they'd have the sense to bury the bridge deep inside a ship...
The Homeworld universe has its own set of laws and rules, some of which are the same as our own, but also some of which aren't the same as ours. Some other examples: visible nebulae, maximum speed, maximum weapon range, significant friction in space, docking spaces that somehow accomodate multiple ships in the same space, faster than light travel, impossible construction speeds, etc. etc.
