I was the project lead for a mod called "Operation Iraqi Freedom" back when BF2 was just coming out. Due to the lack of artists (modelers, animators, etc) we had to shut it down. We used the website OIFMod.com

So how far off is a release date?
I served in Iraq for a tour (back in the BAD days, '06). I can't really say I would enjoy it, (bad memories) but it seems well made.
