At 1360 meters, it's slightly larger than a Centurion of the Republic but smaller than a Sith Battlecruiser. But, armed with its super heavy concussion missle launchers this ship is a danger to everything, for it cares NOT for your shield points.

Also some turbolasers here, light laser cannons there, and MORE missles. This will be a pain to deal with. But, as with all things, I'll figure out a way to make it balanced, while retaining the gigantic armerment of the Kandosii.

Damn... Now that is something to welcome a faction back!

Will there be also a mercenary variant of one of the Mandalorian ships? I like what you did with the Sith and republic ones, so why not one for the Mandalorians, too?

Not sure yet. Doesn't really fit their nature to go Merc when they still had their gigantic army conquering the galaxy. That only happened after their fleets were defeated.

Hmmm... That's true for sure. Only explanation could be a Mandalorian renegade or stolen plans of a traitor.

Anyway, can't wait to see the Kandosii in action!

I know this is a bit off topic, but would you be able to release a version where torps and missiles detonate on shields like how it worked in the Xwing games and like thrawns revenge?

Very easy to do, but it messes up the entire games balance of fighters, bombers and smaller ships. Without the shield penetration weapons you'll not need to build smaller ships, and I absolutely hate that, no capital ship spawning, that is the core of this mod, that smaller ships can be very effective too.
That dies along with shield penetrating weapons. It's easy to moddify yourself in the projectiles xml though, if you really really want to.

Actually it would really underpower the Mandalorians too, removing the shield penetrating weapons from their ships.

I was just curious because I hate shield snipers and I like the drawn out battles that it causes. However if it undermines the play style of a faction I can understand not changing it.

Technically Proton torpedoes should penetrate shields at the very least, concussion missiles however are debatable because some canon supports the idea that they can and some does not

depends on the shield; EAW assumes the use of ray-shields in all cases, and ignores particle-shields (which can block physical projectiles like missiles)

I knew you would bring 'em back. They definitely play a pivotal role in that era. Uhm what starbase will you give them? Or will they have one of their very own?

Nice and detailed model well done! I think it will look better if you lower the overall height of the ship. It will look sleeker and longer. Sorry if can't explain better but my English is not that good. ;)
By the way the back looks fitting and oh a merc variant is also worth a try.

Description

Got some coded in already, but that's not really exciting to see. This on the other hand, might be. Farseers Kandosii looks good, but there are some problems with the model, shadow mesh, light mesh and some overall things I don't like about it.

So I decided to make a new Kandosii. For the general shape I used this image: Google.nl And for the engines and the back...I improvised a little. I am pretty happy with how it turned out, unlike most people I don't like the idea of an oversided, thick head. Oversized and slim I liked far more, though I did make it a little bit thicker when I asked around a little for opinions.

Model by me, I am currently skinning it. Stand-by for more updates on the mandalorians,
