Obscura is a First Person Puzzle game using the Source Engine. The concept of the game is of an amnesiac going through his memories solving gaps/blocks. He does this by using psychological-tied mechanics that allow players to have objects affect one another in various ways.
I briefly.....thank Christ......ONLY tried a few levels of this mod. I briefly tried the very beginnings of chapters 1, 2, and 3 before realizing what this mod was about and giving up on this 'drivel.'
My impressions are that "Obscura" is purely a 'psycho-therapy' mod...you are in some kind of an 'id subconscious' state of sorts and are being assisted in placing things in rooms that you enter by a female 'shrink.' There doesn't appear to be any combat in this mod or any real interest or purpose.
I am admittedly no fan of Sigmund 'Fraud'.....and I proudly admit that due to the fact that I AM intelligent......that I detest psychiatry with a passion: Psychiatry and anything related to it is a very unnatural 'atheist's invention' which is based on dehumanization, categorization, and 'half-truths.' It is absolutely NOT COINCIDENTAL that as America and the world has become more and more 'secular' and anti-religious and 'atheist'......that everything psychiatric-related has become extremely ubiquitous in every facet of society as though it was an extremely intelligent and effective science. Science replacing religion is one of many signs of a society that ironically is not 'evolving'.....but rather constantly 'de-evolving.' Society has never been stupider and will continue to become even more stupid till the very end...
I discarded this stupid mod after several minutes...
I rate "Obscura" a 2/10.

This mod was great and pretty challanging. It was great, but the ending was a little disapointing... unless there will be an Obscura 2. But overall this mod was one of the best i've played in a while, and at times I thought I was acually playing a published game.
Needs work. Lots of work.
This was actually a great mod, buggy, but worth the play time.
The twist ending was great. Overall I think it would have been nice if it was longer, but in a way, the length is good on its own.
Seems good but the game crashes too soon
Very entertaining, a little short, crashed occasionaly, but other than that it was fun, I love 3D puzzle games.
The game is far too exploitable, and most concepts don't work as intended. You could easily get through most of the mod solely through projection.
lol
