The "New Horizons" mod for the 2003 Pirates of the Caribbean game by Akella is a continuation of the famous Build mod series. Developed as Pirates of the Caribbean Build 14, "New Horizons" continued where Build 13 left off, adding more new content than ever before.
This features music from all 4 movies and is compatible with the latest Build. New music from the 5th upcoming film coming soon!
is it possible to change music at ransack menu? after ship is taken and your at loot screen menu there are fighting sounds that should be before the ship is taken.
Of course. It should be easy to change. It will be somewhere in RESOURCE/Sounds, but I'm not sure where. I didn't change it because that is a sound and not music, and this particular pack is just about the music.
However, I am currently working on a project to re-master the games stock SFX, and I'm sure I will do something with the sound you mentioned. Here is link to the Forum thread of the SFX project's progress:

Right now, I've put the project on the back burner and am currently doing the textures for the Black Pearl and Queen Anne's Revenge. But I will get back to it.
Nice job!
This looks (sounds!) very very good... you just made perfect mod even better :D
Aww Thanks. I worked hard on it. :)
hello spider what version of potc game is this music pack for?
Hello legendary spider! I have extracted the potc movie music pack but when i go to sounds and select music scheme, i press the arrows and it doesnt change? It just stays the same, how do i get it to work? If this helps, when i extracted it, it didnt ask me if i wanted to overwrite any files.
Did you ever get it worked out?
Sir Legendary_Spider I seem to have the same problem with abdoul.
thank you very much for what you have done it is a huge and awesome job thank you
I'm blown away.. First let me say I am a junkie for 1600-1800 naval anything, the elegance and beauty of the engineering that went into those ships, the lifestyle it created and the legacy it left behind. I was going through all my old games feeling nostalgic when I found potc and of course had to install it, I went looking for a faq and instead found these builds, the first I ever knew of them. Awesome work, I'm so grateful that people like you are out there to help fuel our passions.
On a further note, I cannot wait for Heats of Oak: Conquest of the seas. I'm a gamer and techie but not much for programming.. Sadly. Otherwise I would be all over volunteering!
Thank you for your kind words.
Note: I'm finally going to be working on an updated version of this to work with the current build. So keep an eye on this page.
