This is a total conversion of Sins of a Solar Empire. five new playble races will be introduced each with differing play styles and apearances. The focus of this mod will be small and large scale fleet stratagy and empire building.
The Mark 7 skirmisher is as the name would suggest the predessor to the Mark 8. Like all Skirmisher class frigates the Mark 7 is sturdy and reliable. The Mark 7 was replaced by the Mark 8 only very recently so many of its systems are not yet obsolete. Up until the early 26th century the T.E.F did not have a designated anti-strikecraft vessel, this was mainly due to the fact that Hornets were more then able to defend friendly ships, however recent advances in enemy strikecraft and the imminent decomishioning of the Hornet the T.E.F has had to reconsider its stance, Thus rather then comishion an entirly new class of ships they insted refitted the old Mark 7's. This newly reffited Skirmisher comes equipped with a huge array of highly manuverable kinetic missles, the original front cannon has been replaced with two much smaller 150mm cannons and extra armour has been welded to the ship to keep it from being ripped apart by enemy fire. These upgrades have increased the tonnage of the ship a great deal and have reduced its maximum speed and manuverability significantly.
