The glorious MP-40 has made it back ! better and cooler than ever before!
The most famous and iconic German SMG, produced in 1940, and contributed in several wars, World War II, Cold War, Korean War, and the Vietnam War. Chambered in 9x19 cartridges, with a 32 rounds magazine this beast can tear apart anything standing before the barrel, as deadly as its German name sounds.
Many people have worked hard so your radiated hands can have it, raynox3d, the person behind the weapon and its base textures, King Friday, the famous animator, his mp5 animations were used for this weapon, Denis, this dude reworked the animations and made them suitable with the MP40, and Kuba reworked the textures and made them as realistic as possible, still, two more people are working on the weapon, Alex making cool sounds, and Connor working on better bumps.
Now let me take full time introducing our new animator, Denis, "he prefers to be called Nick, Kuba happens to use niick as his nickname, this surely is going to create a mayhem =D" he sees himself as a newbie animator, but from what I saw he's more like an experienced one, though he still can't create animations from scratch but he's well capable of reworking existing animations and make them usable with new weapons, just like this MP40, the result turned out marvelously awesome. You can now expect new weapons to be added that were plain dreams, I won't name any of them so I don't spoil it up :3

Now I've got a reason to spend all my money on this beauty. The old one animations were so bad that every single time I had to reload, a bit of my heart was dying. Also, we expecting new sounds and some kind of "supermegaexclusive" version like an engraved one?
Definitely new sounds are being worked on, a unique variant ? Not sure, you can use the original skin from gamebanana.
Great, now just need the FG-42.
FG42 is extremely ultra-rare gun, only 9000 were made and most of them were destroyed. We want to put guns that have some chance to show up in the east and introducing FG42 would be a bit too sci-fi. You can expect some more WWII guns though :)
I like the way you think. No need for those fancy/high tech weaponry. Old rusty weaponry is just the thing for the zone. Nato/American weaponry should definitely be much rarer.
Hi-tech weaponry will be there but only in hands of elite mercenaries, NATO weapons will be for all factions but they will be way rarer than in vanilla MISERY where you had higher chance to meet LR300 than AKS-74 lol

I still wonder why there are german wwII weapons in a rather good condition available in the zone, wouldn't it be more profitable to sell such weapons to collectors instead of Stalkers xD
After WWII a lot of german weapons were captured and placed in soviet magazines, they were refurbished and are well stored even up to today. Some time ago I saw a photo of Ukrainian rebels with MP40 and few PPShs (which is obviously more popular), I can't find it now though. Anyways, when people are in need they just want a thing that shoots and is readily available. Ukrainians today use Maxims and PTRSs, Syrian rebels use Kar98s and StG44s, Talibans used Lee-Enfields for long range shooting with great success. Those weapons aren't THAT rare.

Holy ****, I only read the entire description now. So TAZ has a new animator. Thats amazing news.
I hope my old request for the SR-2M may now become a possibility since lack of animations was the main problem. :D
I strongly believe that we are getting that little thing running sooner or later :D
