Here comes another set of cool looking stuff. A pack of new Kar98k models including two variants, Old and Sniper, the middle one will be the vanilla replacement, it will be retextured a little bit in order to blend with the zone, there is also a chance for adding more variants as the rifle is very iconic and common.

Yeah, I actually like it the way it is. Looks more destinctive from the others. What does the sniper variant has in terms of diference from the others? I assume its a permanent scope, but whats the advantage behind it?
Alsow, I dont mean to be rude, but TAZ seems to be getting a bit slow lately in terms of developement. At least compared to the past. I hope everything is ok.
I have lots of work IRL lately, I have little time for modding now, so things are going a bit slower. I can however assure everyone that the progress is being made, just slower than before.
And no, it's not rude, it's always nice to see that followers care about the mod :)
The sniper variant is indeed going to have a perma scope, and it will also have a different scope upgrade tree, the base upgrade tree will be different from the other rifles, we will make sure to put this rifle in good use.
It's not a rude question, it is actually a good one, TAZ isn't slowing down, it's just the way the developement is, the upcoming update is not like any of the older, it is based completely on Misery 2.2, all weapons were reworked and reanimated, even those of the old TAZ were reworked, the Makarov for example will have different new and better animations and some new models too, other weapons like the AK105 will have new variants, to cut long story short, everything will be refreshed, heck even the bolt is reanimated =D
I'm actually working on a sheet list with all the weapons for the vanilla and the newly featured weapons, the vanilla weapons are almost done, by saying this I mean there is less than 10 weapons left to work on, and there is about 70 new weapons added to TAZ 2.2, but the work is still running smoothly.
We're trying not to overwhelm ModDB with updates everyday :p we're trying to keep it quiet and smooth at the same time, so bear with us and stay sharp for some unpredictable updates :v

By the way, have you checked out the Call of Chernobyl mod and its addon OWR(original weapon renewal) ? That thing has some really sick animations for gun reloads. I thought your armed zone anims were great but those... damn. The browning pistol and abakan just to name a few. Could watch the reloads whole day lol
And the best one, I almost forgot - Mossberg. The way he just pumps it with one hand at the end is godly. Really hoping you can add some of those :3
