Why bad ammo?
As ironic as it is, you ran out of bolts, the zone is not an industrial area, and since you were running around happily tossing the damned bolts like a radiated fool you simply ran out of them. Now you rely on the old bullets to find your path through anomalies.

You have been buying, scavenging, and stocking bullets, every now and then you end up with one jammed, so instead of trashing them you decided it's better to keep them around, and you were right, you've wasted all the good bolts you had, now this bad ammunition is your one and only mean of triggering anomalies "unless you can toss your butt instead".

Bad ammo is so bad it won't go off even if you toss them into fire anomalies, Owl and some unlucky dead bandits can assure you that.

With the upcoming Misery 2.2 you will get even more bad ammunition either through looting or dismantling weapons, this has fortified the idea of using bad ammo intead of bolts.

I never fully understood why bolts where chosen for this role instead of just plain rocks. It's a reference to the original "roadside picnic" or something like that?

Afaik, smaller anomalies react to anything that steps or falls on them.

Its in the Stalker movie, but with cloth strings attached.
So you get a better feeling for where the bolt lands, and should be easier to find in the grass. But without something attached it makes little sens to chose bolts over small rocks as you said.

As far as I know, anomalies won't be triggered if anything other than metal or tissue is tossed in, tossing a rock may not do any good, it will just get you to think it is safe walking in :D

It would be nice if a sound can be added when a bullet impacts on the ground, wood, concrete, metal, etc. Pretty much like the different sounds of the knife when you stab something.

Actually the engine seems to have made things like that : soft terrains -> no sounds.
rock & hard ground -> "generic" metal bullet sound adapted to the game from my work.
That appears pretty nice in this way because on soft terrain the bullet won't bounce all around it just drop 'softly" end of story. On hard surfaces well... it does its sound.

i got question - does most anims are made by taz mod developers or are they ported from other mod? cause I seen almost the same val, ak and aug anims in both taz 1.7.4 and arsenal overhaul

All animations in the old TAZ versions were used from other mods, mainly Shoker and OWR, AO and STCoP use these two mods too. TAZ2.0 also uses animations from the said mods, but we also have new and unique guns with animations made by several people for this mod exclusively, and currently we have kyky who has made many new animations, like the KRISS Super V, Revolvers, and still working on more :)

-Scorpion is planned, I have two models or so with better quality
-RS357 is possible, can't be sure though, I'll see about it
-SRS might be added, not certainly, but there is a slight chance, don't hold your breath though
-SW40 and HCAR are probably a no go, the models are not that promising

Are you sure, brotha? Those ones from BF: Hardline, which contains pretty much high-poly, HQ stuff.

I did get some good stuff from BF serie, so I can't deny there are good quality models in the game, however, there are some bad guns which turn even uglier in STALKER, and from what I learned these two might be among them.

What excites me as **** (excuse me), is that i have also found better - and correct one! - Beretta 93R model. That's difenetely better version, that i showed you some time ago (and also better than fake "93R" from BF), take a look at it:

Well, only the M9 may make it to TAZ.
The Colt is planned already, it just needs to wait a little more.
The AS50 and 93R are from FC4 and Blood Dragon, we can't have them, they would look so out of place, sorry :p

M9s are pretty awesome though, I'll add some of them with multiple variants.

If so, may i ask you to drag into TAZ Sword Cutlass and Samurai Edge versions from this mod? I adore both them to death.

Sword will be added, it is a nice looking variant, it should be here even as a rare or unique pistol. Samurai Edge has actually been added, although the one I added is more like Resident Evil easter egg. I'll add the other one as well. All these Berettas are too cool to be excluded :D except that one from FC4
