Version 1.5 of the minimap
i like this one most, only the alphablack square have to be fadet out on boarder.
i think the round compas is much more stylish then the square one.
did you find a method to use a grafic for each map, maybe loading a special dds from level folder, if found ?
I think so too. This was the latest version before I played around with the square one.
Since i`ve got no idea how to design it, I`ll recreate the minimal from FC3.
Ofc i did, long ago :D All the textures for the minimap are in 1 folder for now, but I can make the engine look for it inside the map folder. I thought about automatic extracting the texture from the pack files, but it`s ugly. Every1 can generate it themselves in higher texture resolution and the edit it.
Such textures need a looooot of work tho :( Buildings and other stuff need to be pasted on the texture by hand. Not to mention indoor areas...

i know i know... for buildings i make screenshots of the buildings from sky and then work with alphablends and copy this screenshots into the map, its a hell of work in a big 4k map.
have done this once for a map ( i have a fullscreen map in devkid), and i needed DAYS for one map dds -.-
Yes this one is way better then the square one.
