Minerva is an excellent HL2 mod.
It encorperates the mystery and the syspence that is accorded to all Half-Life games; mod or otherwise.
I really enjoyed playing this mod. It was an excellent tangent to go out into. Our Benefactors have some mysterious stuff going on in iceberg-ish like islands.
