An alternate history submod based on Stainless Steel set in a timeline where the religions of the ancient world survived into the Medieval period, featuring changed factions, new buildings/units and a different campaign experience.

The mod is still in early development and could use modders involved in any part of modding - especially things like custom settlements.

Generally it's more like MTW2 factions with RTW cultures/religions/aesthetics but there are some nods to RTW factions like red, green and blue "Roman" factions in Italy

Hey! Cool idea of a mod you got here ! Will it be available soon ? Are you still working on it ?

Do you have a complete list of factions prepared ? With their faiths ? What are those ?
What would be the religion of the Franks/French for example ? Did they cement their kingdom on their germanic belief or did they adopt those of the Gallo-romans (Celtic or Roman Polytheism) ?

Bit of a late reply but I am considering returning to it in the near future in order to at least release a beta of some kind.

The list of factions was not completely clear when I last worked on it, and I went back and forth a lot with the Franks. Ideally they'd have a unique syncretic religion with Gallo-Roman and Germanic elements, but I think I left them at Greco-Roman, this combined and their northern european roster made them pretty unique and not just blue HRE. However the engine limits for things like religions and unique buildings etc. is part of why I'd like to move the project to a newer engine. I'm giving real thought to Rome Remastered, Imperium Surrectum is doing great stuff with that engine and the workflow is familiar from Med 2 unlike the warscape games.

Some glitches with the new unit models and text file entry limits put this mod on hold, but I'm considering moving it to Attila

not an ancient religion but perhaps Zunism and the Zunbils as a faction could be added in the eastern section of the map? ive yet to find a total war mod that adds them in any form

I like this mod's idea! Will the Continental Saxons control Northern Germania?

The Allemanian kingdom will start with fewer provinces than the HRE so I guess they technically will. There's basically one faction slot left though and I'm not sure where to use it, so I'm not sure if Saxony will be a playable faction in this campaign. I think Kingdoms-style campaigns centred on smaller geographic areas are a possibility though.
