What I'd really like to see (after most serious bug fixing is done and the game is stable) is more longevity of the game.

This currently fails at several points, the first being how quick you can currently make money (took me about 8 hours to get nearly everything, money vise, for a good vhf).

That brings us to the second point, while money alone doesn't buy you items, the Earth Alliance System does. Theres far too much high level stuff accessible early on in the game. Stuff like this should be spread through the universe, not assembled in a single system.

Third point, we need far more "unique" items, only accessible by either wrecks or missions. These also should be better than most buyable counterparts (e.g. lets say on a mission in new york there's a chance for an liberty rouge to drop a "Liberation Laser" - which could be a modified Drail or something along this way.Or special shields (every class and every fighter class should have its own unique shields, so that not even very light fighters are left out). Same for power generators, armor upgrades, engines, shield capacitors etc.

That is ofcourse one of the worse ideas if one would want to take Rebalance into PVP Oriented directions where skill should be the main "weapon". With such a diverse "equipment" that isn't really the case anymore.

Last but not least, more Ships and a bigger Universe.
I know it's kinda weird to say that, I mean we do already have 380 Ships, however choice is great, and this keeps you in high spirit that you could find something better.

Bigger Universe and therefore more Systems means you can actually hide some very great stuff far away from main systems, making exploration all the more useful.

Maybe my thoughts are a bit biased cause I played games which had most of the above already implemented. It is however really necessary that longevity and diversity is added to an old game as Freelancer, based on what the mods goals are.

All valid points i have in mind too see but with a single person working on it just not enough motivation an time :(

Anyone is capable of editing Freelancer with a little time,
so if anyone is willing to add some work or creativity ill gladly walk them through everything they need to do it.
Havin like 4 people workin on the different sections could see alot of this done in a short time.
