Rebalance 3.56 Patch Rc3 the latest patch is now available in the downloads section. Patch Rc3 will be a full installer due to large no of changes. This means uninstall old versions and give this a fresh install. In the .56 tradition this patch is mainly just fixes to mod. This will greatly improve on ship related errors and loud outs. Still more planned to increase stability to 100% but still looking for a dedicated ship re-builder. This build needs to be installed by Client and Server to match.

Panzer225 here-all of the current mods of freelancer have one major flaw-SCALE-at times there is no constant scale to measure everything in the game universe.Batteships,in our universe are usually 1,000 or so feet long,fighter planes are around 45-60 feet long,yet,in the freelancer universe,ships the size of gunboats or at least the size of WW2 destroyer,about 350 feet long are classified as a very heavy fighter and try to fit into an outpost station that is suddenly only about 100 feet in size.

panzer225 here-This mod is very unstable on my system.tends to crash to desktop,every ten to fifteen mins.Version 3.55 may have larger list of incomplete programing lines,via Freelancer Companion 1.18,but at least you can play for 5 or 6 hours straight before it crashes.Both versions have major problems-#1.Why can't large transports take-off from Kusari planets!?!? #2.Both versions have problems with turrets,you should re-write turrets the same way as Discovery 4.84-4.85,change turret classes,make class 1 and class 2 turrets-new class 1-class 3 and class 4,new class 2,and so on. Then designate new class 6 turrets transport only weapons,leaving classes 7 thru 10 for gunboat,destroyer,crusier,and battleship weapons.
This mod is unique and because this mod is unique makes this mod interesting, cool, and unordinary. But, it has many rival out there. So, be aware and defend this good work.

Hi,
first of all, let me say that this is a great mod, in fact, it's my personal favorite.
I do seem to have some problem with the capship encounter part. Every time an enemy fleet appears 10ks they vanish right away. They are displayed on the radar for a few seconds but then they are gone. Sometimes battleships which were fairly close seem to disappeare as well. Does this happen to anyone else, or is there a way to fix it? All ideas are appreciated!

I cant get it to work, it unpackages and activates okay. but when i start windows non of the mods features work, my character model is the same and the singleplayer game is exactly the same.
I just tried this mod and OH MY GOD.
BEST FREELANCER MOD EVER.
I'm playing the campaign right now with this mod and it has modified freelancer right like it should be. I've tried discovery, crossfire, shattered worlds but out of all, this one beats them all.
Why? Because its actually fun to play and its universe is interesting by adding lots of new cool stuff to the existing systems that spice it up very nicely without braking anything and takes care of the akward functional things in the original freelancer and on top of that you can customize your character for single player. Nothing beats an Edison Trent in a black pirate suit with a hat running around with an AK-47 in his hand.

After further playing a get rarely random errors that kick me to desktop and leave the game running (possibly frozen) in the background, with me unable to get back into it. Kinda nasty at times, but this mod still remains best with its gameplay.
can you buy freelancer stations in single player? if so, were can i buy what stations?
I do not know whether this will work with this mod, however, I have had extremely good results with the unofficial v1.4 patch and the global server workaround. The patch is available from Gamespot and the workaround is available here on ModDB.
