The reapers have returned from dark space. With Earth under attack and the mass relays in a state of chaos from refugees and the councils fleet engaging reaper forces the galaxy is a mess. The outcome is unknown, the warfare is devastating. The galaxy will never be the same.
Stayed up till 2 in the morning fixing problems and re-doing a lot of the entity files I'd already done, as well as touching up others and adding new ones. Thought I'd share these glorious pics of the Sword fleet heading to Earth. Look familiar?
So glad that I picked Council for when me and my friends finally play our game in this that is massivley epic!
yeah except that is the SR-1 and not the SR-2. Looks amazing keep up the good work.
Kinda curious to see just what sort of fleet dynamics will prevail in the mod.
Drools.
Take as much time as you need on this mod, I don't care about the wait anymore. I have ascended to a higher plane, lol.
But seriously, if the mod looks this good in Alpha, then I can only imagine what it will be like in the final product.
I would much rather wait and have everything in this mod have this level of polish than release an unfinished product.
wait...THIS IS ALPHA?!
I'm speechless! Amazing absolutely amazing! Good work!
This will be awsome to tear apart with reapers....so much cannon fodder!
What role will the Normandy play; its not really a combat vessel and since there is only one I'm guessing you can't mass produce it? So will it be like a really expensive experimental unit? (like supreme commander) or something different similar to the way titans work is Vanilla SoaSE?
im just going to take a wild guess and say scout frigate. you know... like the Normandy in Mass Effect was designed for...
The SR1 is currently a corvette class ship which has the ability to auto explore planets atm. It is also an effective warship at destroying enemy fighters and harassing larger vessels including Reapers. The SR2 will feature as a one time, spawn at the beginning of a match ship. This may change but its what we have as of now.
Awesome man! I foresee epic battles coming...
swords
... and more swords
It was a sad scene in the destroy EC to see that about only 30 or less ships from that massive fleet survived. So many lost.
Kalahira, wash the sins from these ones,
and set them on the distant shore of the infinite spirit.
Great picture, but stupid question: Is it just me or do the graphics look dumbed down a little?
In terms of textures, yeah. LoD: Level of detail. As you move further away from the ships, the game's graphics engine uses simplified textures without a lot of the detail to save GPU power for being able to render 1000 ships. Its used in most games these days, but Sins does go a bit over the top with it - unless you're right on top of the ship you've got a rather pathetic LoD. Wish it was something that could be fixed, but I get the feeling its not.
I was on my crapy pc
Ok, i kinda like Reapers answer better, simple and to the point. cause I run sins on a monster rig with everything either at high or highest and I just want to see these things at their maximums so I can enjoy killing them later.
A fleet of normandys... with phalax cannons... MUHAHAHAHA (p.s. I nerdgasmed)
