Talk to the guys over at the Marauder Shields comic, they signed off on the idea of releasing their concepts made for their comic for use in DOTR so here we are seeing the original model was 196000 polies i had to remake. Got it down to 3k, not quite done with it but the shape is there. More to come. Design by AssaultSloth.
I'm assuming it's a slave barge/colony ship?

This looks better than your previous design, it fits to their culture as slavers, and partially to the design of their prison on that planet near Alpha Relay. :)

Wait wow so batarians get the honor of havin ships and no krogan?
Thanks to the Krogan Rebellions, the Krogan got demilitarized. That means, no formal military might, including warships. In ME3 they had to rely on Turian transport ships to get anywhere.

It's a nice model, but I personnally prefer your old Batarian designs. This one feels too... ramshackle? I dunno, I look at it and think "armed frieghter" or "cobbled together raider ship", compared with the old ones which looked like they belonged to a more proffesional navy and had an obvious style that you were running with.
I mean, as far as I was aware, the Batarian Navy was supposed to be relatively comparable to the Systems Alliance?
Your modelling skills are good enough that I will be fine if you decide to use this design, but I do feel that the old ones were better aesthetically. But whatever, it's just my two cents.
Apparently a lot of people like this design, I'm personally against it...Batarians seemed more like the types to use quick, stealthy attacks to overwhelm their foes...this ship seems more like it would run counter to those tactics. It looks like a troop carrier, or a freighter, more than a combat ship.
I dunno... Seems too tall, too "boxy", and too slim to me. It needs something to not make it look so plain in its silhouette. I'm not sure about the asymmetry, either.
I would have preferred ssomething more along the lines of Lord_Set's older designs, I think. Or a mix between the two.
I checked the comic, there are some armor plates at the front on one of them, that'd be a nice addition to this model.
I also noticed that one of them had this "chip" on the underside of it near the front, that would also be nice to have in it, which would help resolve the "plain silhouette" I talked about earlier.
