Lost Dragons is a multiplayer total modification aiming to bring out a new thrilling gamemode for Arma3 . Our concept is futuristic objective based team warfare with randomly generated map elements to ensure every game is a unique experience with completely new set of units, weapons, structures and terrain.
Hi all! We continue to pour whatever time we get into the mod and got many many different features under work simultaneously. Sometimes though an idea to improve an older asset pops up and this happens.
The Dragon Warship got a almost complete redesign as I got this brilliant idea to make it even more awesome! The base idea is the same, only improved - There is still the massive main cannon that takes half the ships size and there are the side hangars, missile tubes and huge number of different size weapon platforms. The ship grew in length from 1000 meters to about 1400 and got a bit wider to better house all the guns and internal systems.
Enjoy.
Looks really good!
Thanks Wintercross! Im really happy with the new design!
Pretty nice. Hope it'll be able to move !
Well at first we did not mean to make it really flyable as it is sooo huge and Arma might have quite a bit trouble with flying megaship that is made out of 300+ objects. But lately I've been itching to try. :D
Yeah, I know Arma's engine has some limitations (what engine could make that kind of ship move anyway ?) That's why I said that. If the game crashes every time a Dragon moves... well, it may be better to make it static !
But everyone can dream, uh ?
;p
PS : I think it's quite the same issue with the aircraft carrier that can't move, isn't it ?
Yes I believe it to be the same issue. Gotta try though :D Would be awesome!
Yup! The problem's not making it move, it's all the cool stuff we want to make happen inside of the Dragon, like entering through the hull, or an open hangar bay, hacking your way through the corridors, fighting the enemy team (and the Dragon itself) for control and so forth.
And doing all that while the Dragon is moving! Now theres a challenge!
