A fantasy coming to life. Beautiful. I would be willing to pay for this GAME. It is not a mod, it is much better than the vanilla Stalkers by themselves. It combines all of the great elements and the things the fandom always wanted in the series, because it was made by fans with a vision. I don't even play games that much anymore since I am going to college, but when I do play them, I do stuff with mods like STALKER or TES. It is awesome to see how far the community keeps things alive.
A question as I've read the faq few times now and couldn't find it. Is it compatible with Win8/8.1? A while back I wanted to play vanilla SoC again, but it didn't run (And I believe CS and CoP have the same issues). I managed to modify few files and get it to load, but it crashed during the map loading after hitting play in the main menu. I asked GSC on their page about the issue and they basically said "It's your problem, we don't care. If you want to play, downgrade to WinXP." but as this is standalone maybe it runs on Win8/8.1 aswell?
Well i have win 8.1 64-bit and it works fine but i see a some problems with it myself too :D.
I cant quite run Stalker LA with my laptop (which haves win 8.1 pro 64-bit and cpu i3-4030U gpu Intel Hd graphics 4400)
But with my main computer it works fine usually . I think you just need to tweak your graphics settings i guess. Try switch the DX9, or DX10.
My question wasn't related to the requirements themselves as, although I have a laptop which is pretty much the same as yours (But mine has a 4000 instead of a 4400), I knew I could handle it (Not bothered with super-mega-ultra-iper hd settings, even all low is fine with me as long as the core elements like the gameplay work without issues), but I didn't know if I could play it.
As the whole package is pretty big, gb wise, and I would have to make space just for it in my hdd, I wanted to know in advance if Win8/8.1 was supported before downloading all those files just to find out that the game couldn't load.
Anyway, thank you very much for the reply, really appreciated! Guess I'll wait a bit longer and download directly the director's cut edition when it will be ready instead of downloading the mod twice. It's been too long since my last visit to the Zone, but I'm sure it will be worth the wait.

I mean I don't if iGPU even work with this game , as I am trouble shooting this and yet to find any reasonable solution for it
I get this error but I'm not sure if its about my system locale because the result that i get from google are all in Russia.
It left me thinking that maybe the locale might have some impact to this.
Sure you can run this game (I have runned this with windows 8.1 and 10 ) , but it needs some configuration to the best fps for your desire (when we are speaking of iGPU)`
Edit: Now it seems to work , as i presume earlier this game is quite sensitive with graphics settings and they can easily cause some errors, for me it would let me even start the game and it would crash .
Can't wait to enjoy this game even more with my laptop :) .
