Is the game to dark? Can't see $hit during the day? Shadows look solid? Your eyes hurt?
Fix it by following these 3 easy steps...
1. Go to your game folder/appdata/user.ltx and make a backup
2. Open and modify these lines to these values:
r2_sun_lumscale 1.2
r2_sun_lumscale_amb 1.4
r2_sun_lumscale_hemi 1.2
r2_tonemap_lowlum 0.8
3. Save and exit
Your eyes will need time to adapt to the new settings, so give it a few days of gameplay, check all weather conditions and different times of the day.
I'll add to this that I strongly suggest using the default bloom preset.
I just spent one hour playing with the game settings, bloom kernel and threshold, lumscale, etc... And couldn't figure out how to get a clear image that is not overbright, over dark, and most importantly, doesn't transform clear patches into light sources.
Turns out it was because I was using the build Idon'trmemebrwhat setting, and clear sky setting is barely better, the default one is definitely the best, the light on surfaces gets better distributed.
Now, I just need to figure out a good bloom setting for the sky, that is once again, either too bright or too dark.
Thank you, ooooooooo, great Monolith, for sending me a prophet who freed me from the darkness. Praised be Monolith !!!
I have to comment again. The image quality has improved incredibly, at least for me. I can only recommend it.
I'm very happy you like it. Lost Alpha is the best Stalker game so far.
You speak the truth. LostAlpha+STALKER Lost Alpha: Revisited+your mod=endless fun.
Excellent setting and idea! THANK YOU!
If you play Anomaly, I have the same type of fix for it. I will upload it today.
