Lambda Wars (formerly Half-Life 2: Wars) brings the struggle between the human resistance and their Combine overlords to a multiplayer real-time strategy setting. The Lambda Wars beta only requires Alien Swarm installed to play. It features 3 multiplayer game modes: Sandbox, Annihilation and Overrun, showcasing the Rebels and Combine playable factions and a full-fledged RTS interface and HUD. There is also a singleplayer tutorial and a handful of singleplayer missions.

I don't think they will be playable in vanilla HL2Wars unless it's somewhere on the side like an addon or something.

Can they only climb brushes, or will they be able to climb over props as well (ex. fence)

As long as it's static/part of the world: yes. It uses the navigation mesh to determine if it can climb up and the navigation mesh doesn't cares about whether it's a prop or a brush.
And if the navigation mesh generation fails for such a prop/fence you could still manual edit the navigation mesh.

This seems best for the RTS format. Does this mean you have done away with placing info_nodes everywhere?

That beginning part with the climbers is kinda creepy...they just swarm everything.
Anyway, good work, I bet this stuff was hard to code...wish it could be used in fps hl2 mods :)

do want!

wouldn't it be better to have them "jump" up the really small platform? so they retain forward momentum. im just sayin' it looks a wee bit iffy whit them stopping to climb what seems to be less than ½ of their hight high ledge. + would look more intimidating :P

This is seriously impressive! If you can fix that little bug where they sometimes jump higher than they need to and their hands go above the edge of the ledge, this will be as good as the Left 4 Dead zombies (coded by a team of professional game devs).

This video and the one for the improved pathfinding are inspiring stuff!
